Prof. Eric Kiprono Bor (Ph.D) is a sociologist, Senior Lecturer and Consultant at the Department of Peace Security and Social Studies, Egerton University. Bor holds a PhD (1999) in sociology, Masters (1991) from the University of Baroda and B.A, from Punjab (1989),. He joint şŁ˝ÇĆĆ˝â°ćin 2000. Bor has wide experience in university administration and management. He has served as Chairperson of Department for eight years and continues to serve in several University Committees. Bor teaches both Undergraduate and Post Graduate Students pursuing Bachelor of Arts and Master of Research and Public Policy, Masters of arts in Criminology and security studies. He is both a supervisor and examiner of Post-Graduate Students. He has published and co- published numerous articles/papers in national and international journals. He is a Member of Post- Graduate committee at FASS. Bor is also an external examiner to Moi, Mount Kenya and Maasai Mara Universities. Moreover, he is a socio-economic expert to the National bio-safety Authority. In addition, he has won research grants (NRF) that has formed the basis for partnerships, collaboration among institutions and benefitted many post graduate students. He is currently, in charge of developing academic and research materials at the Department of Peace, Security & Social Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Studies, Egerton University, Kenya. He has participated in many advance academic training as a participant and as resource person. He is determined farm hands and result oriented transformative leader practicing professionalism, team work and team spirit.
