In preparations for the handing over of the rehabilitation sites along Njoro River Prof. Bernard Aduda, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics, Research & Extension) led the Egerton team in a visit to Narok County on 21st December 2023.
Accompanied by Prof. Charles M鈥橢rimba, Coordinator of the Njoro River Rehabilitation Project, the team engaged with local community leaders at the source of the Njoro River in Entiyiani, Narok North Constituency.
Discussions centered on the collaborative rehabilitation and restoration initiatives undertaken with the community since 2012, including the planting of 50,000 tree seedlings and the fencing of 25 acres at the source, in partnership with organizations such as KCB, Cooperative Bank and Nation Media Group.
A subsequent meeting was held in Narok town with Narok County Government represented by the Chief of Staff Mr Francis Wanyeki and the Narok County Commissioner Mr Isaac Masinde. The discussions with the senior County leadership centered on progress of the rehabilitation efforts, engagements with the community among others.
海角破解版will be handing over the rehabilitated sites to Nakuru and Narok County Governments respectively on 23rd February 2024. It is at the same event that we will be launching the 9th Mau-海角破解版Cross Country (Run for the Mau) that will be held on 2nd March 2024.
