The UK鈥檚 Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) is working with African funding agencies (eg NRF South Africa, NRF Kenya) to connect with their physics research communities and promote mutually beneficial UK: Africa collaborations and enable African researchers to access UK facilities for their research, through the Africa UK Physics Partnership Programme (AUPP). AUPP will support UK and African based researchers to work in partnership to build and sustain a skilled and talented cohort of early career physicists. The programme is designed to help researchers meet the future science, technology and policy challenges of climate change and sustainable energy via a programme to build relevant research capability, utilise existing initiatives, networks and collaborations and promote equitable partnerships and gender inclusivity.  The programme will be launched in Nairobi in July 2024. STFC has published a pre-announcement call for research collaborative projects as well as inviting applications for the from African Physicists to attend the workshop/launch. The call is open to physicists from African participating countries i.e Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda and Ghana. Female applicants are encouraged. Information on the workshop and call can be found on:  Best regards.
