The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage, on 9 March 2022, addressed student representatives at Main Campus in Njoro to update them on the current status of the University. He said that the University Senate had considered their request to extend the semester by one week. He also called upon students to promptly resolve their academic issues through their representatives, Chairs of Departments and Deans to facilitate their progress to the next academic year.  Prof. Kibwage acknowledged their patience during the four-month strike that began in November last year, adding that the University will ensure that they complete in time with the resumption of studies.
