Egerton university is made up of Sixty (60) Departments. Each department fall under the following categories;
- Academic Departments which is comprised of Thirty-One (31) departments.
- Administrative Departments is comprised of Twenty-Two (22) departments.
- Research Departments is comprised of Seven (7) departments.
