SUMMARY

Philip rono work in the department of veterinary pathology micobiology and parasitology (VPMP). He has a wide experience in veterinary laboratory service where his daily work involve sampling,processing of samples, examination and ensuring that standard operating procedures are always adhered by students and other staff within the lab. He is also acquited with planning and execusion of practical classes for the bachelor of veterinary medicine and surgery (BVM), Bsc Animal health management and diploma animal health student groups. He has served in this capacity for the past thirty three (33) years.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Philip has served the university bfor the last thirty three years in the laboratory, starting as a Junior lab technician and progressing to the position of technologist with wide experience in Microbiology, Entomology, Helmintology, Protozoology and Immunology.

CONFERENCES & INVITED PRESENTATIONS

ï‚· Specification Writing workshop at Cathay Hotel - Nakuru covering; anti-corruption

perspective to specification writing, defining dimensions of quality product/ equipment, ISO

9001:2008 requirements for purchasing, application of the process approach to procurement

and drawing specifications.

ï‚· Agro-chemical and biomedical waste management seminars at Agricultural Resource Centre

– Egerton University. Areas covered included safe handling and disposal of agrochemical and

biomedical wastes.

ï‚· TVET CDACC workshop on development of Occupation Analysis Chart / DACUM chart,

and Occupational Standards for Medical Laboratory level 6.Venue: Egerton University
