RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide legal advice and where necessary legal representation to needy clients of the project.
- Advocacy and awareness creation on gender and human rights issues.
- Make interventions and petitions on behalf of the public on gender and human rights related issues including Public Interest Litigation (PIL).
- Link with strategic partners including NGOs, Government departments and relevant bodies.
- Support clients to access justice through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and other informal justice systems.
- Preparation of programme /activity plans and reports.
- Attends meetings as may be directed the Program Leader.
- Develop a community network to facilitate the project acceptance and ownership.
- Identify, analyze and bring to the attention of the, Program Leader funding opportunities.
- Develop timely reports when and if required based on activities, donor templates and stakeholder interaction framework
