The award, granted to Dr. Benard Odhiambo Oloo (Faculty of Agriculture) and Prof. Josiah Ouma Omolo (Faculty of Science) will seed institutional transformation projects which will support AAP members and partners to participate in sustainable, equitable, and research-driven partnerships that transform lives

Awards

Each project team comprises a faculty Principal Investigator (PI) from Michigan State University (MSU) and at least one PI from an African , including Egerton University.

Title1: Building the Capacity of key African Higher Education Institutions (HEI) to Harness the Value of Nano-Biosensor Technology through the Global Alliance for Rapid Diagnostics

• Institutional Partners:Egerton University (EU),Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plant Studies (IMRMPS), Michigan State University 

Title2: Building Institutional Capacities in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research in African Universities and Research Institutions 

• Prof. Josiah Ouma Omolo (EGU), Guo-Qing Song (MSU) 

• Institutional Partners: Egerton University, Michigan State University 

Through this opportunity, the awardees will directly address one of AAP's pillar of" transforming institutions to be better able to participate in sustainable, equitable, and research-driven partnerships that make a broader impact on transforming lives". 

They will also reinforce institutional strengths; create new units or institution-wide initiatives; and pilot new approaches to research support, teaching, or outreach that can be scaled up at 海角破解版and across institutional partners.
