The IECMP represents Egerton University's proactive response to this challenge, aiming to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem where innovative ideas are nurtured, translated into tangible products and services, and ultimately contribute to national prosperity and community well-being.

Crafted through a collaborative effort involving University Management, the Institutional Working Group (IWG) that is, Prof. Nancy Mungai, Prof. Paul Kimurto, Dr. John Nduko, Dr. Winfred Mulwa and Dr. Benard Karanja. Collaborations also involved faculty and students, the five-year master plan reflects a synthesis of diverse perspectives, knowledge, skills, and aspirations. Embodying principles of quality, honesty, and inclusivity, the plan endeavors to establish a supportive environment that empowers individuals to unleash their entrepreneurial potential and translate innovative concepts into practical solutions for socio-economic development.

Through strategic partnerships, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, º£½ÇÆƽâ°æaims to position itself as a center of entrepreneurial activity and commercialization prowess. The master plan serves as a roadmap to harness the institution's full spectrum of resources, infrastructure, and talent towards creating a vibrant and globally competitive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

As º£½ÇÆƽâ°æembarks on this transformative journey, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage extends an invitation to the entire university community, external partners, and stakeholders to actively participate in shaping the future of entrepreneurship and commercialization at Egerton. Embracing the challenge with optimism, determination, and a shared sense of purpose, Prof. Kibwage underscores the potential for collective action to catalyze positive change and drive innovation that transcends the boundaries of the campus.

This means that, Egerton University's Innovation Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Master Plan heralds a new era of growth, collaboration, and impact. By unlocking the entrepreneurial potential within each individual, the university aims to forge a brighter and more prosperous future for generations to come.

The  Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage, on Friday 19 April 2024, presided over the swearing-in of newly elected º£½ÇÆƽâ°æStudent Association (EUSA) officials at Main Campus in Njoro. Thirty – four (34) dedicated students took the oath of office administered by the Legal Officer Janet Bii. They were seven (7) Student Governing Council members, eleven (11) Faculty Congress Persons, eleven (11) Halls Congress Persons, and five (5) Complimentary Congress representatives. Speaking during the swearing-in event, the VC Prof. Kibwage commended all those who participated to ensure a successful election process. He especially commended the  Electoral Commission chaired by Dr Moses Gichuki for conducting the second online voting process. Prof. Kibwage called upon the student leadership to prioritize open dialogue and consultation, both within the student body and with the management, a message resonated by the Deputy Vice Chancellors. Present during the inauguration ceremony were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics, Research and Extension) Prof. Bernard Aduda, acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Planning) Prof. Richard Mulwa, Principal of Nakuru City Campus College Prof. Joshua Ogendo, Representing the Registrar Academic Affairs Dr Maurice Udoto and representing the Dean of Students Dr Justine Omwoyo.
