NOTICE TO ALL STAFF
RE: DECLARATION OF INCOME ASSETS AND LIABITIES 2021
This is to inform you that in pursuance of the Public Officer Ethics Act 2003, and miscellaneous amendments thereto, all public officers of the Universities are required to declare their Income and assets by filling the income assets and liabilities forms biannually. Subsequently, we wish to inform all University staff as follows:
- That you are required to declare your wealth for the period 1st November, 2019 to 31st October, 2021. Wealth Declaration Forms are available from contact persons identified for the respective Faculty/Department/Section.
- That all staff who had been given a serial number for the purpose of wealth declaration should clearly write the serial number on the right corner of the front page.
- That staff members who were given two serial numbers from the Commission for University Education MUST indicate both numbers on their wealth declaration forms.
- That staff are requested NOT to leave blank spaces, instead indicate that you do not have anything to declare in the section if that is the case.
- That forms bearing any cancellation/whiteout/different colour pens shall not be accepted.
- That duly completed forms should be returned to the Faculty/Department/Section contact persons on or before Tuesday 23rd November,2021
- That duly completed forms must be witnessed.
- That for all married staff you are required to fill separate forms for your spouse and submit together with your own completed form.
- That in the event of any clarification please see the contact person for your Departments/Faculty/Section.
- That the contact person MUST ensure that staff who were in the payroll as at 31st October, 2019 (Including those who have left the University) have filled the Wealth Declaration Form and have signed the register as a confirmation that they have declared their wealth.
- That staff members are advised that failure to declare their wealth in the prescribed form will be subjected to the provisions of the Act and any other penalties as may be directed by the Commission for University Education.
All Heads of Departments MUST contact the staff members who are on leave and ensure strict adherence to the deadline given.
