海角破解版to Co-Host 3rd National Alternative Justice Systems Conference
Scheduled to take place in Nakuru County from June 11 to 14, 2024, the Conference brings together a consortium comprised of Egerton University, Nakuru County Government, Kabarak University and the Nakuru Law
Courts.
Under the theme "Accelerating People-Centered Justice in Kenya: Engaging, Expanding and Retooling AJS," the Conference aims to bring together over 500 delegates in person with an additional 2,000 participants expected to join virtually.
University leadership, represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Bernard Aduda and Justice (Prof.) Joel M. Ngugi, Chair of NaSCI-AJS Committee lead their respective teams in posing for a group photo after discussions to collaborate in hosting the 3rd National Alternative Justice Systems Conference
Speaking on behalf of the Vice Chancellor Prof Isaac Kibwage, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics, Research and Extension) Prof. Bernard Aduda expressed Egerton University's readiness to partner in hosting the event. With a wealth of experience in organizing international conferences, the University is well-equipped to facilitate meaningful discussions and engagement among attendees. Prof. Aduda also emphasized the University's commitment to sponsoring both staff and students鈥� participation.
In his remarks, the acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Planning) Prof. Richard Mulwa affirmed Egerton University's dedication to supporting logistical needs for the Conference, including transportation arrangements.
As the University prepares to co-host the 3rd National Alternative Justice Systems Conference, its ongoing contributions to the Alternative Justice System field have been instrumental. The Faculty of Law has been facilitating access to justice in Nakuru County by working with the community and partners through the Faculty of Law and Legal Aid Project (FOLLAP).
