Engineering Brilliance Unveiled As Students Showcase Innovations, University to Establish Dedicated Showcase Space
In a session with the Faculty of Engineering students Thursday afternoon, Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage displayed unwavering support and encouragement for the innovative endeavors of the students.
The session, attended by Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics Research and Extension Prof. Bernard Aduda, Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration Planning and Development Prof. Richard Mulwa, and Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Japheth Onyando, saw a dynamic showcase of student innovations.
Vice chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage (3rd Right) led the management in a session with Faculty of Engineering students showcasing their innovations. The students demonstrated successfully among other innovations; a Solar Eggs Incubator, A Groundnuts Sheller. Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics Research and Extension (ARE) Prof Bernard Aduda (Centre bestacled), Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration Planning and Development (APD) Prof. Richard Mulwa (Right) and Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Japheth Onyando (2nd Right) were present in complimenting the students on their work.
Among the groundbreaking projects presented were a Solar Eggs Incubator and a Groundnuts Sheller, demonstrating the students' commitment to practical and impactful solutions.
Vice Chancellor Kibwage expressed his admiration for the students' creativity and dedication, emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of innovation within the university.
In a significant announcement, Prof. Kibwage outlined plans to establish a permanent section dedicated to showcasing and exhibiting innovative products from engineering students. This initiative aims to provide a platform for students to display their creations and attract potential commercialization opportunities. The Vice Chancellor believes that such a space will not only recognize students' achievements but also serve as a catalyst for turning innovative ideas into real-world solutions.
The university management, including Prof. Aduda, Prof. Mulwa, Prof. Onyando, among the senior dons in the applauded the students for their remarkable work and expressed optimism about the future impact of these innovations.
